Stripe payments for art galleries

The collector clicks buy at 11pm.
Everything else is handled.

Card checkout on your own website, powered by Stripe. The payment settles in your gallery's own Stripe account — not ours. The work is marked sold before the confirmation email lands, your Square inventory decrements itself, and the order is waiting in your dashboard with the buyer's details in the morning. No "DM for price." No invoice ping-pong.

Your site. Your Stripe account.
Our plumbing.

Checkout on your own domain

The buy button lives on the work's page on your site — no redirect to a marketplace, no third-party storefront diluting your brand. The collector pays by card through Stripe's checkout, with the receipt carrying your gallery's name.

Your money never touches our hands

Onboarding runs through Stripe Connect: a few minutes of Stripe's own verification, done from your Primatura dashboard. From then on every sale settles directly into your gallery's Stripe account on Stripe's standard payout schedule. Primatura never holds or forwards your funds.

The floor finds out immediately

The moment an online sale completes, the work is marked sold on your site and your Square inventory decrements — so a staff member can't ring up a piece the website sold an hour ago. Read how the Square sync works →

Orders, tracked; you, notified

Every sale lands in your dashboard's orders view with the buyer's name, email, and amount, and your phone gets a push notification through the Primatura mobile app the moment it happens. Selling a $4,000 painting overnight should wake somebody up.

Prints ride the same rails

Enable print-on-demand for selected works and collectors buy prints through the same checkout — fulfillment routes to Prodigi's print network automatically, with sizes and margins you control per work. A second revenue stream with zero extra logistics.

The three ways online art sales
currently leak money.

Marketplace commissions

Listing platforms and online marketplaces routinely take double-digit commissions on each sale — and the collector relationship belongs to the marketplace, not to you. Primatura's fee on online sales is 1%, the buyer is on your site, and the buyer's details land in your dashboard.

"DM for price" and invoice ping-pong

An interested collector emails, someone remembers to reply, an invoice goes out, days pass. Every hop loses buyers — especially the late-night impulse ones. A buy button that works at 11pm closes the sales your inbox drops.

A bolted-on ecommerce stack

A website builder here, an ecommerce plugin there, a payment add-on on top — each with its own monthly fee, and none of them aware of your gallery floor. Primatura's checkout is part of the same system that runs your inventory and your Square terminal, so nothing needs to be reconciled by hand.

1% on online sales.
That's the whole story.

Online Stripe sales and print orders carry a 1% Primatura fee plus Stripe's own processing rates — no ecommerce add-on tier, no per-listing charges. In-gallery Square sales are commission-free as far as Primatura is concerned. Everything else is covered by the flat $49/month plan ($35/month billed annually).
